Former Geelong coach Mark Thompson on drug charges
Ben Jensen 2 May 2018 Former Geelong premiership coach Mark ‘Bomber’ Thompson has faced the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on a number of alleged offences, including two more serious charges, two counts of trafficking MDMA (commonly known as ‘ecstasy’) and methyl amphetamine (e.g. ‘ice’). Thompson was also charged with more minor offences, possessing MDMA, methly amphetamine, hallucinogenics (LSD), and prescription drugs without a prescription. Thompson was bailed on $20,000 with conditions including he report to police three times a week and handover his passport. His next court date will be 25 May. Police opposed bail.
