Cats have day out against Giants at GMHBA Stadium

Ben Jensen 4 May 2018, AFL Round 7 2018, Geelong Cats v Greater Western (GWS) Giants GEELONG made easy work of Greater Western Sydney tonight, holding the Giants to their second lowest score ever. The Cats kicked fourteen goals while the Giants managed just four, the fourth coming courtesy of a Geelong mistake late in the game. A relatively small crowd of just over 25,000 braved the conditions which remained dry all night, but cold and windy. They were entertained to a point but the Giants were just so poor it was not much of a spectacle. The crowd were warmed by the form of spearhead Tom Hawkins who kicked four goals, recruit from the West Tim Kelly who was as good as best afield, South Barwon boy Tom Stewart. New recruit Stewart Crameri in his one hundredth game found the scoreboard twice as did Esava Ratugolea and Patrick Dangerfield.
