Bulldogs hold of Cats in a thriller; AFL 2018 round 15 match review

Ben Jensen 29 June 2018, AFL Round 15 2018, Western Bulldogs v Geelong Cats GEELONG and the Western Bulldogs fought out a high-scoring match at Etihad Stadium tonight. Harry Taylor, playing up forward in his first game in a while, had a shot to win it after the siren but could only manage a behind, the Bulldogs hanging on by 2 points. The Dogs led by 9 points with 33 seconds to go but Gary Ablett kicked a goal to put the Cats in with a chance. The ball ended up in Taylor’s hands just before the siren but the kick never looked like a goal, the 10 or 15 Bulldogs on the mark leaping into each other’s arms like they’d won the premiership.

Tomorrow the VFL team plays Werribee Tigers, the VFL women play the Western Bulldogs at Ballarat on Sunday while next weekend the Cats play on Thursday night in Sydney.
