Cats give Tigers a scare but fall short; AFL 2018 round 19 match review
Ben Jensen 3 August 2018, AFL Round 19 2018, Richmond Tigers v Geelong Cats GEELONG challenged the Tigers in the dying minutes of the second and final quarters but fell short both times, Richmond hanging on for a three point win. Ruckman Ryan Abbott made his AFL debut and kicked two goals from set shots. Dan Menzel top scored for the Cats with three goals, Tom Hawkins only managing one after kicking seven goals the last two matches. Jack Riewoldt kicked four for the Tigers. Tim Kelly was the Cats’ best ahead of Dangerfield and Joel Selwood. The VFL Mens’ & Womens’ teams also play the Tigers tomorrow at GMHBA Stadium.
