Adelaide Crows v Geelong Cats; 2019 round 3 match preview and team lists
Adelaide Crows v Geelong Cats; AFL 2019 round 3 match preview and team lists, Adelaide Oval, Thursday 4 April 2019, 19:50 AEST
Ben Jensen, 3 April 2019 GEELONG has made one change to the side that defeated Collingwood and Melbourne in the first two rounds of 2019, recalling tall defender Lachie Henderson to replace an injured Jack Henry. Henry was forced from the field during the huge (80 point) win over the Demons at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night.
The Crows have also made one compulsory change losing ruckman Sam ‘Sauce’ Jacobs to a knee injury with inexperienced Reilly O’Brien coming in as his replacement. Jacobs played his only two AFL matches in rounds one and two of 2016. The Cats travel to Adelaide with a five day break while the Crows have a six day break after defeating Sydney by 26 points at the SCG on Friday night, after losing their round one match at home to Hawthorn.
Geelong’s midfield led by former Crow Patrick Dangerfield, skipper Joel Selwood, Mitch Duncan and second-year player Tim Kelly will go head to head with the Crows’ Rory Sloane, Bryce Gibbs, and the Crouch brothers Matt & Brad.
