Miers and Hawkins lead Geelong to 33 point win over North Melbourne

AFL 2020 round 10; The Gabba, Thursday 6 August 2020 Ben Jensen GEELONG defeated North Melbourne by 33 points following a game that appeared to be headed for a shoot out early on, but the shoot out was mostly one way with Gryn Miers booting four goals and Tom Hawkins three for the Cats. After a four goal to three opening term the Cats held the Roos goalless in the second but only managed one goal themselves and six behinds.

The third quarter was better for the Cats with three goals & three behinds to the Roos’ two goals straight getting them up for the final term which saw the Cats finish it off with five goals – the Kangaroos kicking the final three goals of the match to salvage some respectability.
