Ben Jensen Geelong and Brisbane the 2020 grand finalist and preliminary finalists respectively are both on the rebound after surprisingly losing their round one matches. Both sides have reacted by making changes, the Cats four the Lions two. For the Cats Patrick Dangerfield misses after being suspended for three matches and Sam Menegola is out injured; Josh Jenkins and Zach Guthrie were omitted. The Lions lost Jarrod Berry to injury and dropped Rhys Mathieson. Former VAFA player Francis Evans will make his debut for the Cats after impressing during the pre-season. Zach Tuohy, Charlie Constable and Jack Henry are the other inclusions. Thomas Berry and Jaxon Prior are the ins for the Lions.
