Ben Jensen JOEL SELWOOD has been rested or ‘managed’ as the Cats call it for this Saturday afternoon’s clash with Carlton at the MCG, the 310 game veteran also joined by Luke Dahlhaus on the sidelines for a spell. Quinton Narkle has been omitted while Jeremy Cameron is out for ‘several weeks’ with a hamstring injury. Returning are backman Mark O’Connor, ruck/forward Esava Ratugolea and utility Shaun Higgins.

Ruckman Rhys Stanley has retained his position in the side after a decent performance in last round’s win over Essendon. The Blues have omitted Tom Williamson and recalled Zac Williams. During the week the Cats appointed Steve Hocking, currently with the AFL, as replacement for CEO Brian Cook. Cook, who will remain in the club in as yet to be specified role, returns to the Cats after several years as the AFL’s football operations boss. In the VFL the women play the Southern Saints at 2pm on Saturday at GMHBA Stadium in a do-or-die final after losing to Collingwood last weekend. The men play Williamstown, also on Saturday at 12 noon.
