Cats brush off the Tigers of old

Geelong Cats v Richmond Tigers, AFL 2021 round 19 Ben Jensen THE CATS wiped the floor with a Richmond Tigers side who barely put up a whimper in the first three quarters before matching the Cats’ five goals in the last quarter. The highlight was the performance of key forward/ruckman Esava Ratugolea who like Tom Hawkins helped himself to four goals in another dominant performance after last week against Fremantle. Patrick Dangerfield had probably his best game since coming back from injury. Skipper Joel Selwood was subbed off with a sore quad, replaced by Quinton Narkle, and would be in some doubt to play the Kangaroos in Hobart next Saturday. Next weekend the VFL women finally get to play their preliminary final against the Saints for a spot in the grand final.
