Good long weekend for Cats
North Melbourne Kangaroos v Geelong Cats, AFL 2022 round 6 Ben Jensen GEELONG enjoyed a day out in Hobart on the weekend, easily accounting for a North Melbourne side. Jeremy Cameron booted seven goals while Ollie Dempsey’s fan club enjoyed his debut AFL match (see tweet below). Fellow big forward Tom Hawkins kicked four himself to share the John Coleman Medal with Cameron.
Not as good news elsewhere for the Cats. In the VFLW on Saturday the Cats were belted by the Casey Demons, kicking just one goal and losing by 43 points. The VFL men’s team had a bye, robbing players such as Sam Menegola game time. Off field it looks like Patrick Dangerfield may be able to resume this weekend against Fremantle after all despite murmurings he was facing an extended period out due to a combination of injuries.
