Saints too good for Cats

St Kilda Saints v Geelong Cats, AFL 2022 round 9 Ben Jensen ST KILDA defeated Geelong by ten points after a third quarter mugging out-scoring the Cats seven goals to two reversing a half-time lead. The Cats attempted to come back in the final quarter, our-scoring the Saints by a goal but the winning margin of ten points flattered Geelong who had no response when it counted. The loss, Geelong’s fourth in nine rounds, leaves them seventh on the AFL ladder but consecutive home matches against both battling South Australian sides gives them a chance to get some positive momentum going again after losses to Hawthorn, St Kilda and Fremantle in the last month.
