Ben Jensen MARK O’CONNOR and Brandan Parfitt, both regulars in Geelong’s AFL side this season have been omitted along with fringe players Esava Ratogolea and Jonathan Ceglar for the first qualifying final against Collingwood at the MCG tomorrow night. Taking their place are Jeremy Cameron, Mitch Duncan and Rhys Stanley. Last week’s substitute Tom Atkins keeps his place in the side. The Magpies have recalled Taylor Adams, at the expense of Oliver Henry and Finlay Macrae.

The twilight match is set to attract at least ninety thousand people, and take its place alongside other finals clashes between the pair – the most memorable of which was the 2011 Grand Final with the 2007 Preliminary Final not far behind. The winner gets another week off and a place in the Preliminary Final, with the loser to play another ‘home’ fixture at the MCG the following week, which will be against the winner of the Fremantle Dockers and Western Bulldogs, which takes place at Perth’s Optus Stadium Saturday night.
