St Kilda Saints v Geelong Cats; AFL 2023 round 23 match preview and team lists
St Kilda Saints v Geelong Cats, AFL 2023 round 23, match preview and team lists
Ben Jensen TOM HAWKINS is back for Geelong’s ‘do or die’ clash with St Kilda tonight at Marvel Stadium, the eleventh placed Cats needing to topple the fifth placed Saints in order to keep their finals hopes alive. Joining Hawkins as in inclusion is Jed Bews. Gary Rohan and Rhys Stanley are out injured while last week’s substitute Brandan Parfitt was left out again. The Saints go in with an unchanged line-up.
Geelong has St Kilda and Western Bulldogs to finish off the season, and aside from winning both matches need other results to go their way. The Cats could still finish as high as sixth. But if Essendon pull off a win against Collingwood next Friday night, which would likely see the Brisbane Lions finish on top, and the Cats could miss out.
