TICKET ARRANGEMENTS
ANNOUNCED FOR AFL FINALS; GEELONG MEMBERS TO GO INTO BALLOT By Ben Jensen AFL FINALS TICKETS ARRANGEMENTS have been announced for Geelong Football Club Members, including the AFL Grand Final. For the first time (for this club), a ballot system will be used. Instead of missing the finale of a preliminary final in order to commence queuing up at a distant light tower to obtain a ticket, members must register, via an automated phone system, on the Wednesday prior to the Preliminary Final, for a small cost per ticket. This includes all membership categories, including social club and 'September Member', although the latter two are guaranteed an allocation. Expect usual warnings about purchasing tickets on online auctions (Ebay, etc) in a couple weeks' time. UPDATE - 2 SEPTEMBER 2007 CATS TO PLAY KANGAROOS IN HOME FINAL AT MCG; TICKETS ON SALE MONDAY

The Cats have resisted the temptation to recall former skipper Steven King, instead sticking with Mark Blake. Joel Selwood and Cameron Ling have both been recalled, at the expense of Henry Playfair and David Johnson. Shannon Byrnes has retained his place in the side.
