CATS UNCONVINCING IN WIN OVER TIGERS Ben Jensen 2 May 2015
AFL
ROUND 5 2015: RICHMOND TIGERS V GEELONG CATS GEELONG led all day
but in the end had an unconvincing win over Richmond at the MCG today,
the Tigers outscoring the Cats by five goals to three in the final quarter.
An OK crowd of 45,000 turned up, not bad considering Richmond had a
relatively disappointing start to the season - as had the Cats! The
weather was perfect, though it ended up a low scoring day.
We saw a return
to form by Mitch Duncan and Jared Rivers, while Tom Hawkins had a good
day our with a bag of three goals. The
match came at a cost, veteran midfielder James Kelly suffering a ruptured
testicle. Next
up is Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night, an away game.
Check out the weekly
match review from Daniel and Tyson.
