GEELONG GREATS FAREWELLED IN PERFECT
CIRCUMSTANCES AFL ROUND 23 2015: GEELONG CATS V ADELAIDE CROWS RETIRING Geelong premiership stars Steve Johnson, Mathew Stokes and James Kelly were farewelled in perfect fashion today, with the Cats defeating the Adelaide Crows by 39 points. Earlier the same day it was pretty much confirmed Steve Motlop would be around in 2016, while the fate of Corey Enright remains in the balance with rumours he's staying and going. It was a fun day out for Geelong fans in contrast to the last few weeks, with most players firing. Mathew Stokes in his first game for a few weeks made it count, making the best players along with James Kelly who was similarly all over it. Johnson was reasonable and just about had a shot at goal with each kick he had no matter how far from goal. Importantly for the future Nathan Vardy had a great game, as did Joel Selwood and Cameron Guthrie. Old(er) timers Andrew Mackie and Corey Enright were also solid.
GEELONG:
