CATS CLAWED BY EAGLES By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery WEST COAST EAGLES V GEELONG CATS BACK TO BACK losses for the Geelong, after defeat by the West Coast Eagles at Subiaco Oval last night, the Cats starting off early but the Eagles' 9 unanswered goals which coincided with when we began monitoring the game via the web (audio and later video). Geelong trailed by as much as 40 points in the second quarter, but managed to pull the gap back to single figures early in the third term. They had a realistic chance to win the game in the final quarter but inaccurate kicking and missed opportunities up forward really cost the Cats, the Eagles kicked a little straighter and made the most of their inside 50s and held on by 8 points. James Podsiadly, who finished with 3 goals, had a chance to make the deficit just 3 points with minutes remaining, but could only manage a behind.
