MAGPIES AT HOME IN NAB CHALLENGE OPENER

first match of 2014 under lights tonight at Simmonds Stadium. The Cats
have more or less a full strength squad, with only Joel Selwood on the
sidelines of their top players. It's a new look Magpies side with Scott
Pendlebury taking the captaincy from Nick Maxwell, while they are also
without Dale Thomas and Heath Shaw. Dawson Simpson will play in the
ruck, hoping to string a few games together and show some form to take
the number one ruck mantle back he briefly occupied before injury late
last season.
