NAKIA COCKATOO JOINS MITCH CLARK SHOW AFL NAB CHALLENGE 2015: GEELONG CATS V ADELAIDE CROWS GEELONG defeated Adelaide by nineteen points at Simonds Stadium this evening. The highlight was six goals from new recruit Mitch Clark including three in the first quarter, along with Nakia Cockatoo, who in the famous number five jumper booted two in the last quarter putting the icing on the cake. A blend of youth and experience may see the Cats contend for the Premiership, certainly top five but whether they can be in the top two (where you need to be to win) remains to be seen. The Crows looked quite good themselves, with more scoring shots than the Cats though horribly inaccurate. The crowd wasn't huge, certainly nowhere near as big as the A-League match between Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory back in January, but you can be certain a lot more food outlets were open than that day. In other news around the club, Dan Menzel whose long awaited comeback from four knee reconstructions is imminent, suffered a setback with a hamstring complaint that should keep him out by around three weeks; but likely to come back soon after according to coach Chris Scott.
