AFL PRE SEASON AND ROOKIE DRAFT WRAP: FOUR NEW CATS
Ben Jensen 12 December 2007
By Ben Jensen GEELONG FOOTBALL CLUB DRAFTEES
GEELONG bypassed the Pre Season draft but drafted four new players onto
its Rookie List yesterday. First picked was twenty one year old Brodie
Moles, who played with Tasmania in the VFL this season. Next was Jeremy
Laidler from the Calder Cannons TAC Cup side. The final two would be
familiar to keen football watchers in Geelong; Chris Kangars from the
Falcons side and big ruckman Shane Mumford who played several VFL games
last season.
Just eight players, and only one of them with significant
AFL experience in Scott Welsh, were picked up in the AFL Pre Season
draft while the Rookie Draft saw sixty two players drafted.
