CATS TOWEL UP DEMONS ON A VERY WET
DAY GEELONG ran out to a fairly predictable eleven goal win over the Demons on an extremely wet day at Simonds Stadium today in skipper Joel Selwood's 150th game. 23,172 attended but at least thirty per cent, those not under cover, left at half time, yours truly accepted as the heavens really opened up. The rain fell from mid morning and didn't relent, in fact got heavier as the game went on, amazing what 8mm of rain can do. Steve Johnson, who got three votes against the Dees in 2012, will contend with skipper Selwood for the three votes today with a lazy 38 possessions and one goal from the midfield.
