CATS GO DOWN
TO CROWS; CLUB DOCTOR GEOFF ALLEN IN FIGHT FOR LIFE GEELONG were defeated by 11 points at AAMI Stadium last night but it was the off-field dramas during the warmup that took precedence for many back in Geelong. Doctor Geoff Allen suffered a heart attack and after being worked on for a reported fifteen minutes on the ground he was rushed to hospital. The latest word is he should pull through but it was quite a shock for the team, who as you'd expect were quite anxious and upset. The Cats led at the first two changes but trailed by 11 points at three-quarter time, which was the final winning margin for the Crows. Next Saturday afternoon Geelong host Brisbane in a game to be telecast live on Fox Sports.
