YOUR SAY: OFFICIAL DELISTINGS - SPENCER, GRIMA, HUNT, OWEN, REYNOLDS CATTERY FORUMS
Midfielder Owen underwent a knee reconstruction after injuring himself late in the VFL season, and may yet be rookie listed on compassionate grounds. Defenders Spencer and Hunt, who both played in the VFL Premiership, have both been on AFL lists for around four years now and it looks as if the game has passed both by. While Bedford and Reynolds were always looking doubtful, especially when Reynolds was too old for the Rookie list, It was the axing of Grima that surprised Cat fans. Grima was the Geelong VFL side's leading goalkicker, and seemed to have done enough to retain a spot. While many a good VFL player has failed to make the grade at AFL level, to many Grima appeared to have the goods. Grima told the Geelong Advertiser he had no idea he was getting the kyber and will look to other avenues to further his AFL career. "I'm pretty upset. I had no idea. They didn't give me any inkling. I thought I had a great year, but it doesn't make any difference now. I spoke to my manager before, we'll try and look at every possibility." In other whispers around the club, Matthew Scarlett lookalike Scott Thompson, who was one of Geelong's best in the VFL Premiership, won't be drafted buy may be rookie listed, while the club is also considering rookie listing Jarrod Kayler-Thompson from WA.
