AFL ROUND 6 2007: RICHMOND V GEELONG; MATCH PREVIEW
AND FINAL TEAM LIST PLUS
TV / RADIO BROADCAST DETAILS By Ben Jensen FORMER CAPTAIN STEVEN KING has been dropped while Steve Johnson has been rushed back into the side to take on Richmond. GEELONG travel to Telstra Dome to take on Richmond in an 'away' fixture, their first twilight game. The Cats are desperate to square the ledger in terms of wins whilst the Tigers just want A win. Embattled former skipper Steven King was named on the expanded bench of seven, but made way for Brad Ottens, who was named as first ruck. The other inclusion is Kane Tenace, named on a bench while Johnson is named on a half forward flank. The other omissions are Matthew Stokes and Brent Prismall. Prismall had two good game but really struggled last Sunday. Meanwhile Richmond has 'boned' veteran but struggling defender, Darren Gaspar, who was originally named in the side.

ROUND 9 2006, SKILLED
STADIUM YOU KNOW you're no good when you get beaten by Richmond at home. That's what happened to Geelong yesterday at Skilled Stadium in front of a tad over 23,000 fans, many of whom sported black and white. The Cats did stay in the match for three quarters, and really should have buried the Tigers in the first quarter, kicking five of the first six goals and missing two other simple shots at goal. But the Tigers ended up only six points behind at quarter time and took the lead in the second and third terms before the Cats leveled just before each break. But in the final quarter Geelong could not kick a goal - but did manage nine behinds, three of which were rushed by the defensive-minded Richmond side. In contrast, the Tigers ended up with five goals two behinds. Richmond were good and for the most part played positive footy, but Geelong should not have lost this game.
