AFL ROUND 16 2007: GEELONG V WESTERN BULLDOGS;
TOM HARLEY 150TH GAME; MATCH PREVIEW
PLUS TV / RADIO BROADCAST
DETAILS By Ben Jensen GEELONG V WESTERN BULLDOGS RAMPANT GEELONG host traditional rivals Western Bulldogs at the Telstra Dome in a mini-blockbuster Friday night fixture, seeking their eleventh win on the trot. Shannon Byrnes gets his first chance since round four, included in place of Travis Varcoe. Scott West returns for the Bullies, in place of youngster Dylan Addison. RESULTS HERE The Bulldogs have won their past two matches, over Port Adelaide and Essendon respectively while Geelong won its match of the round against Collingwood, its tenth win in a row. This week it's Tom Harley's turn to play a milestone match, following the 150th and 100th games to Cameron Ling and Jimmy Bartel last week. The Geelong skipper plays his 150th match. After playing his 100th game with fellow backman and mate Matthew Scarlett in 2004, Harley played just 13 games in 2005 and 2006, and missed six matches this season after rupturing a finger tendon in round one, his first game as Captain. Harley has now reclaimed his spot in the best 'back six' in the league.
Nathan Ablett is named in the VFL side, while Steven King and David Johnson join Travis Varcoe on the emergency list.
LAST FIVE GAMES Similiar to Geelong's record going into the match with Collingwood last week, the Dogs have the upper hand over the Cats the past few years, winning three of the past five including in Round One of this season.
