AFL 2009 ROUND 18; GEELONG V ADELAIDE;
MATCH PREVIEW PLUS TV / RADIO BROADCAST DETAILS By Ben Jensen AFL 2009 ROUND 18 GEELONG CATS V ADELAIDE CROWS A DEPLETED GEELONG side, minus All Australian full back Matthew Scarlett takes on Adelaide at Skilled Stadium this Saturday arvo, boosted by the return of Steve Johnson and skipper Tom Harley. The bookies are backing the Cats, pretty much unbackable at around $1.15 now, to the Crows' $4 even, quite generous considering. Brad Ottens, absent since round 2, has been named in the VFL side for the Cats while fellow ruckman Mark Blake remains on the outer, also named in the VFL with Shane Mumford the sole specialist ruck. Tom Hawkins, who pinch-hit the last couple weeks, is expected to fill a similar role on the weekend. The match is to be broadcast on Channel Ten in Victoria on an hour's delay; viewers in all other states except WA will get it live on Ten and affiliates. UK based Geelong fans, in the absence of Setanta, will be able to watch the game live thanks to the AFL / Telstra: http://bigpondtv.com/aflliveuk

AFL 2009, ROUND 4 SATURDAY 18 APRIL 2009, 19:40 AEST,AAMI STADIUM CATS OVERRUN GALLANT CROWS
AT AAMI STADIUM By Ben Jensen GEELONG V ADELAIDE AFL ROUND 4 GEELONG eventually cruised towards their fourth win of the season after surviving a spirited Adelaide' fightback at AAMI Stadium tonight. Nine minutes into the final quarter and the Cats were officially unofficially home; Chapman's first, assisted by best afield Ablett, snuffed out and hopes the Crows had, the Cats now in front by 29 points. This finally broke the Crows' spirit, the Cats perhaps flattering themselves with goal after goal, unanswered to win by fourty-eight points. Gary Ablett amazingly had 46 posessions in his 150th game, easily his best and just seven less than the record held by Greg Williams.
