GEELONG MEMBERSHIPS ON SALE
- SEAT RENEWALS CLOSE DECEMBER 10
B Jensen November 20 2003
MEMBERSHIPS have finally gone on sale, seat renewals being due on Wednesday
December 10. Those holding certain seats on the eastern wing are required
to sit in alternative locations for at least 2004, to allow construction
of the new stand. The theme for 2004 is 'Get it on'. (By Round 5 many
of us may be wondering 'get what on?'.)
A basic membership (11 game 'home and away) will set you back $140 for
an adult, $88 concession and $20 for junior. The cheapest seating package
is $75 for 8 games at Skilled Stadium. The Barracker's Block seating category,
after just three seasons, has been scrapped. In 2003, seating in the barracker's
block cost just $60 for adults and $30 for concession/junior, outstanding
value at the time.
Members can take advantage of a $9.50 movie ticket offer from Village
Geelong or Sunshine, or just $20 for Gold Class tickets. While being a
Melbourne based member I am unlikely to take up the offer, it nonetheless
represents added value for Geelong based Members.
For now, your columnist will be taking up his regular position on the
eastern terrace near the 50m line. Can't wait for the new stand.
Remember, without Members our football club would no longer be around.
We are the club, so if you're not a Member, consider this, $140 represents
less than one beer a week.
