ROUND 12 2010; SATURDAY 12 JUNE 2010, ETIHAD STADIUM

CATS DOWN BOMBERS
Ben Jensen 12 June 2010

ESSENDON BOMBERS V GEELONG CATS GEELONG accounted for Essendon so easily in the end you wouldn't have thought it was fairly even in the first half. While usually a couple goals ahead, the Cats struggled to pull away completely until mid-way through the second term. From that point onwards the Cats weren't tested at all, instead treating their supporters to an avalanche of goals. Travis Varcoe announced himself as a player bordering on the elite, not only amassing 19 quality disposals but booted five goals. The 'J Pod' or 'Pod Father' James Podsiadly likewise booted five while Steve Johnson kicked four. AFL ROUND 12 2010; ESSENDON V GEELONG; TEAM LISTS
