SUNDAY 2 MAY 2010, 13:10 AEST SKILLED STADIUM 2 MAY 2010 CATS EDGE OUT TIGERS 30 APRIL 2010 AFL ROUND 6 2010; GEELONG V RICHMOND; MATCH PREVIEW CATS EDGE OUT TIGERS GEELONG had no problem at all accounting for Richmond this afternoon, a seven goal to nil opening quarter setting the tone as they went on to win by 108 points. James Podsiadly, Steve Johnson and Cameron Mooney tormented the Tigers backline with five goals apiece, similar to their effort against Port Adelaide here a fortnight ago. Joel Selwood made sure nobody noticed Gary Ablett was missing, a lazy 36 touches in midfield. Everyone keeps mentioning that three years ago, with the Cats off to a shaky start with two wins three losses, the Tigers helped launch them onto a Premiership, the Cats winning that day by 157 points. Much has changed since then and the circumstances totally different, with Geelong the recognised premier side in the game now, but the impact may be similar. Much better opposition in the Sydney Swans travel down to Skilled Stadium next Sunday in another Fox Sports televised game; sure to be a sellout as former 'South' fans make their way down the highway.
