V NORTH MELBOURNE; MATCH PREVIEW, FINAL
TEAMS By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG CATS V NORTH MELBOURNE GEELONG PREMIERSHIP DUO James Kelly and Joel Corey return to the side to face North Melbourne on Sunday at Etihad Stadium, along with Mitch Brown. Making way are injured pair Jordan Murdoch and Jared Rivers while George Horlin-Smith has been omitted. RESULT & MATCH REPORT The Kangaroos made just one change to last week's side that lost to Collingwood, Scott McMahon a welcome inclusion from injury in the back line, taking the spot of Sam Wright who is out with a knee injury suffered in the loss against Collingwood on Sunday. Majak Daw again misses out on an AFL match, confirmed as an emergency. Last season the Kangas had the better of the Cats by 17 points in a game the Cats never looked like winning. Geelong outscored North seven goals to four in the final term but it was too late, even with nine goals between James Podsiadly and Tom Hawkins. Matt Stevic and Matthew Nichols are field umpires again this week after officiating in Monday's win over Hawthorn, Robert Findlay the change from last week. The popular Chelsea Roffey finds herself named as emergency goal umpire this week, but fans should note she is umpiring the Saints-Tigers game tonight.

AFL 2012, ROUND 3, SUNDAY 15 APRIL 2012 16:40 AEDT; ETIHAD STADIUM 13 APRIL 2012 AFL ROUND 3 2012; NORTH MELBOURNE V GEELONG; MATCH PREVIEW CATS SCRATCHED BY KANGAROOS By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG has a bit of work to do after being easily defeated by North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium this evening as some WAGS readied themselves for the Logies tonight. The Kangaroos controlled the game from start to finish, although the Cats gave them a slight fright with four out of five goals to bring the equation for victory down to four goals in four minutes, but a goal from Jack Ziebell put the result beyond doubt. Three players kicked four goals each for the Roos, Aaron Edwards an absolute dead-eye dick in the first half, joined by Ryan Bastinac and Ziebell with four goals apiece. For the Cats James Podsiadly had his second bag of five for the season and Hawkins his second total of four, the pair with 12 and 11 apiece respectively to lead the AFL goalkicking.
