AFL 2013 ROUND 22;
GEELONG V SYDNEY;
MATCH PREVIEW By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG CATS V SYDNEY SWANS PAUL CHAPMAN returns for his first match since round four after suffering from a hamstring injury that wouldn't go away. Chapman has played in the VFL the last three matches. Tom Hawkins returns after sitting out last week's trip to Perth. Making way are Jordan Murdoch and Josh Walker. Sydney lose Jude Bolton with an illness, bringing back talented Tom Mitchell. Murdoch booted three goals in last night's VFL win in Bendigo while Walker sat the match out raising questions as to whether he'll play today as a late change. Tickets are running hot, with at least one well known Geelong fan seen convincing a ticket outlet in Collins Street to let him in before official opening yesterday to make sure he got the best available seat the moment the clock ticked over to 9am. Back in round four the Cats beat the Swans by 21 points after breaking the back of Sydney with a seven goal to one third quarter. Joel Selwood was best on ground that night and is again in some of the best form of his seven year career, being a favourite for the Brownlow medal behind Gold Coast's Gary Ablett.

FOR SWANS AT SCG By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG put paid to any suggestions they're no good at the SCG last night, which started out as a shoot out with a fifteen goal opening quarter, an arm wrestle in the second, while after half time the Cats blew the Swans away with a seven goal to one third term. The lead blew out to just under 40 points in the final quarter before the Swans pegged a few back when it was all over, the final winning margin 21 points.
