AFL 2015 ROUND 10:
ESSENDON V GEELONG MATCH PREVIEW AFL ROUND 10 2015: ESSENDON BOMBERS V GEELONG CATS THE CATS take on Essendon in a rare 'double header' on Saturday at Etihad Stadium, the VFL side also playing the Bombers at the same ground in a mid-afternoon start. The Cats have made just one change to the side that was overran by the Eagles last Sunday in Perth, Mitch Clark out with a calf injury, replaced by fan favourite Josh Walker. Walker has struggled to hold his spot in the side with Shane Kersten edging him out for the last tall forward but gets his chance in the absence of Clark Essendon who like Geelong have had a poor start to the season, also sit on four wins from nine games and are two spots ahead of the Cats on a far superior percentage and have made three changes. Two of them are forced with Jobe Watson and 40 year old 400 gamer Dustin Fletcher both out with a groin complaint, while Jackson Merrett has been dropped. Former Saint James Gwilt leads the inclusions along with the little known Elliott Kavanagh and Orazio Fantasia.
UMPIRES TBC TIP: Cats by 5 points

THRILLER AFL 2014 ROUND 15 GEELONG CATS V ESSENDON BOMBERS GEELONG defeated Essendon by just nine points in an absolute thriller of a match at an extremely chilly Etihad Stadium last night. After dominating the Bombers in the first half and taking a 29 point lead into half time, the Cats were toweled up in the third quarter managing just two behinds while the Bombers booted five goals five; leading by four behinds at the final break. It looked to go from bad to worse in the last quarter, the Bombers extending the lead a minute or so in; it didn't take long for the Cats to fire up however, Mitch Duncan sinking one from deep in a pocket to put the Cats back within a goal. Jordan Murdoch put the side in front after 12 minutes. The lead would flip flop another two times over the next seven minutes as first Bomber Zach Merrett then Cat Steven Motlop were cooler than cool under pressure. FULL MATCH REPORT
