AFL 2015 ROUND 23:
GEELONG CATS V ADELAIDE CROWS; MATCH PREVIEW AFL ROUND 23 2015: GEELONG CATS V ADELAIDE CROWS JAMES KELLY, Mathew Stokes and possibly Steve Johnson will play their final games with Geelong on Saturday. The retirements, from the Cats at least, of Stokes and Kelly were announced this week while both club and Johnson are silent on his future beyond this Saturday. The Adelaide Crows on the other hand are looking forward to finals, possibly a home one but that will be decided following this weekend. The Crows take an unchanged side in while the Cats have made three changes, including bringing back Stokes, George Horlin-Smith and Josh Cowan. Making way are Jew Bews (omitted), Jordan Murdoch (finger) and Darcy Lang (achilles). Also retiring during the week was Sam Blease. The former Demon only played about one quarter of footy for the Cats and walks away from the game after suffering a nasty concussion back in July. The lingering after effects caused doctors to recommend he not play again. The Geelong Advertiser featured a good article about it here.
