CATS DEFEAT POWER AT THE OVAL; PRESIDENT'S
LETTER TO MEMBERS By Ben Jensen ENGLAND not only witnessed yet another hit and giggle AFL match, but a series of overweight 'streakers' who ultimately caused the early cessation of the exhibition game at London's famous The Oval. With the Cats leading by twenty-one points with just four minutes to go and countless fights breaking out in addition to the naked streakers, AFL officials called a premature end to the match. Geelong lead at each quarter while Port Adelaide remained in touch but never got their nose in front. Both sides sent weakened sides, but it was the Power who really lacked their best side. Ryan Gamble stood up for the Cats, making a spectacular leap for a mark over Port's Troy Chaplin and kicking four goals to boot. While not covered by any Australian media, the 'match' was webcast by BBC Radio. Video will eventually be made available on this site: http://aussietorrents.com/vb/showthread.php?t=11550
