EVERYONE'S A
WINNER IN GEELONG ROUND OF NAB CUP A NEW(ISH) LOOK Geelong side beat Sydney first up but lost to St Kilda in their second NAB Cup game on Friday night, most stars sitting out as young hopefuls such as Bill Smedts, George Burbury and not so young Orren Stephenson enjoyed an outing on the big stage. Next day the VFL side, featuring not one AFL-listed player, went down by five points against Collingwood at Skilled Stadium. Andrew Krakouer unfortunately suffered a season ending injury to his knee. Geelong's NAB Cup continues this week, we still don't understand the system but we're playing at the aptly named Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast Friday night. Hopefully there'll be that cold patch they're talking about in SEQ, rather than a steamy night on lights. Gary Ablett reportedly not ready to play yet. GAME 2 GEELONG:
