WHO WILL WIN AND WHY

This will be the toughest Geelong v Melbourne game at Skilled in many years. The Dees have not won in Geelong since 1988. An era when Bob Hawke was Prime Minister and the 'VFL' was the premier competition in the nation.

Melbourne have a lot of good names. I can only hope Rex Hunt is calling the game this week. I can't wait to hear names like Jack Nicholson, Cameron The Bruce, Glen Wheatley, Oh Johnny (Rivers) , Hi ho Jack Davie, Whelan the Wrecker, Ray White, Frank Green. Not to forget Godfrey the vacuum cleaner, the Angler in Fisher, Bob Jolly, Frosty Miller, Mike Walsh and Gabby Ward.

On a serious note, their forward line is travelling well. Unfortunately for the Dees we have just about the best back six (or seven?) going around. Matthew Scarlett, Tom Harley, Brenton Sanderson, Darren Milburn, Josh Hunt, and one of James Rahilly, Cameron Mooney, David Wojcinski will shut them down.

Our midfield has the capability of holding its own, it's just a matter of which Geelong team turns up. The forward line, combined with an improved midfield, has been quite potent of late. This should deliver a win for the Cats, albeit a small one.

Tip? Cats by 11 points
