STEVEN King has tightened his grip on the Geelong Advertiser People's Choice Award.

King was awarded 8.4 out of 10 by our panel of five judges for yet another dominant showing in the ruck against Collingwood on Saturday.

The high score pushed King's season average to 6.9 and further cemented his lead in the award.

Cameron Ling may have hit trouble during the round 15 encounter but his consistency was rewarded by our judges.

The Cats' tagger stole second position from Peter Riccardi after he was given a rating of 8.2 for his impressive performance against the Magpies. Meanwhile, Matthew Scarlett's 7.6 saw him enter the top five, knocking out Joel Corey who dropped to eighth position.

Each week a panel of Geelong members judge the performances of all Geelong players, ranking them out of 10.

A new panel is chosen each week.

Participating panellists receive a double pass to Village Cinemas Geelong.

They are also invited to a special end of season movie screening where the Addy Footy People's Choice Award winner will be announced. One of our panellists will also win a Gold Class screening for themselves and 20 friends.
