Both clubs have an open selection policy, whereby every player on their corresponding AFL club list is available for selection, and it has been rumoured the game's greatest ever goal kicker Tony Lockett will be making an appearance.

Geelong coach Ron Watt said he would focus on his own team and wasn't too concerned whether Lockett played or not.

``Everyone's available but we haven't really made any decisions,'' he said.

``Most who played last weekend probably wouldn't play because it's probably a good time to take a break and prepare yourself for the second half of the season.

``But Plugger might play - he didn't have a lot of ground time. If he did it would be another challenge and another experience for our young fellas.''

Watt said he expected a good contest.

``They've been going pretty well and they're only one game behind us,'' he said. ``They've got a good crew and if they get Plugger and a few others they could take it right to us. But that's what we want, it gives us a bit of a challenge and something to aspire to.''

Geelong will take on Port Melbourne at Skilled Stadium at 1.10pm on Saturday. The ABC will televise the game at 1pm.
