PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

Thursday, August 22
GEELONG ADVERTISER

STEVEN King maintained his stranglehold on the Geelong Advertiser People's Choice Award, despite receiving only 4.9 for his efforts on Saturday.

Paul Chapman easily won the round, scoring a near perfect 9.3 out of 10 from our panel of five judges for his gallant performance in their loss to the Dockers.

Matthew Scarlett and Cameron Ling continued their consistent season, gaining scores of 7 and 6.8 respectively.

Scarlett and Ling each moved up a spot on the leaderboard, but were unable to overhaul second placeholder Peter Riccardi, who earned himself 5.4.

Kent Kingsley dropped out of the top five after he failed to impress the judges in what has become an up and down second half of the season for him.

Each week a panel of Geelong members judge the performances of all Geelong players, giving a rank out of 10. A new panel is chosen each week.

Participating panellists receive a double pass to Village Cinemas Geelong.

They are also invited to a special end of season movie screening where the Addy Footy People's Choice Award winner will be announced. One of our panellists will also win a Gold Class screening for themselves and 20 friends.

Geelong members should look out for their new registration form early in the new year.
