And in-form youngsters Gary Ablett junior and James Bartel have been named on an extended interchange bench for the clash at Skilled Stadium.
Coach Mark Thompson said at training yesterday that McLeod might be too quick for Ling and he was not sure who would get the job on the elusive Crows star.
``We tried Enright last time and it seemed to work okay,'' Thompson said. ``Enright got a bit of the ball, but so did McLeod.''
Geelong dropped defender Josh Hunt and nominated seven players on the interchange bench.
Joining Ling in the team are Bartel, Ablett and tall man Peter Street.
However, the make-up of the team will depend on whether David Wojcinski recovers from his injured ankle.
Wojcinski was named in the team but Thompson will wait until tomorrow to see whether he is fit enough.
``He is up and running, but he is not right at this stage,'' Thompson said.
The match starts at 1.10pm at Skilled Stadium.
It will be televised on Channel 9.
The Crows dropped defender Nathan Bassett with an elbow injury and former Carlton player Ben Nelson. Debutant Michael Handby, 19, from the Dandenong Stingrays, was named on the interchange bench.
