Falcons fall to top team The Falcons were never able to challenge the home side after the Ranges
got away to a four-goal lead at quarter-time. The margin was extended at every break before the Ranges ran out winners
19.18 (132) to 10.15 (75), to continue their unbeaten run. The loss takes Geelong's record to three wins and five losses for the
season, and saw the club slip to ninth on the ladder. A win to North Ballarat over the Calder Cannons yesterday saw the Rebels
move to 12 points - ahead of Geelong on percentage. But there were some positive signs for Geelong with key position player
Jake Carmody booting four goals to be among the Falcons' best players. Midfielder Pat Travers continued his good form with another solid performance,
while onballer James Allan picked up plenty of the ball to be Geelong's best
performer. The Falcons host the sixth-placed Tassie Mariners at Skilled Stadium on
Saturday, in a must-win match for Geelong.
