GEELONG thumped Essendon at Etihad Stadium tonight.
The Cats kept the Bombers goalless to half time, finishing sixty-nine
points in front at the final siren, just about evening up the poor percentage
they took into the match and overtaking the Bombers on the ladder. Steve
Motlop, Tom Hawkins and Steve Johnson each kicked four goals apiece.
