CATS GUERNSEY NUMBERS UPDATE

By Ben Jensen (Edinburgh) GEELONG has unveiled their guernsey number list for 2009, possibly minus any draftees from the 'Pre Season' draft later this week. Top draft pick Mitch Brown takes over the number 1 vacated by Jason Davenport who was delisted and subsequently drafted by Port Adelaide, while second pick Tom Gillies takes number 25, vacated by Adam Donohue. Donohue has grabbed the available 23, vacated of course by Nathan Ablett who has now been officially delisted.

Steven Motlop takes number 32 from Brent Prismall, who was traded to Essendon, Taylor Hunt 38 from delisted rookie Chris Kangars. Rookie listed Ranga Ediriwickrama, Geelong's first 'trainee' from NSW to make it to a senior list, takes number 42 from another delisted rookie, Liam Bedford. VFL fans would note the list has been expanded to include up to a number 66, and James Byrne remains as Captain.
