CATS HOLD OFF SWANS,
JUST By Ben Jensen. GEELONG limped to a five point win over Sydney at ANZ Stadium last night in front of 40,261 punters who made the trip to Homebush. A five goal final quarter from the Cats was barely enough to hold off a fast finishing Swans side. The Cats kicked the first goal of the final term to jump to a sixteen point buffer, however the Swans struck back with the next two goals. Geelong kicked two more to really stamp their authority on the match however Sydney weren't about to give up and roll over, and looked like they were going to nick a win after trailing all day. Cameron Mooney, who along with Shannon Byrnes kicked three, was dominant up forward in the last quarter but missed a chance to put the match beyond doubt, kicking the final behind of the match.
