CATS V FREMANTLE DOCKERS
NATHAN VARDY is back into the Geelong side to play their historic home
final against Fremantle on Saturday night, coming in to replace Trent
West. Just the lazy ten changes for the Dockers following their loss
to St Kilda at Etihad last weekend. Back in round 14 the Cats also played
the Dockers following the Lions, only last time the Cats were coming
off a shock loss. That very nearly happened last Saturday, Ryan Lester
fluffing his shot at goal in the dying seconds. No VFL match for the
Cats this week, they went straight through to the Preliminary Final
on account of beating Casey last Friday night.

CATS BACK ON TRACK WITH EASY WIN OVER
DOCKERS
Ben Jensen 30 June 2013
GEELONG thumped Fremantle in their second home game
under lights at Simonds Stadium last night despite some inaccurate kicking.
The game was alive at half time with the Cats just eleven points ahead
of the Dockers but the Cats (all but ) blew the Dockers away, booting
two goals nine behinds to no score, the Dockers having just the one
inside fifty which was rebounded out straight away. This proved too
much to come back from, the Cats finishing off well with a four goal
three final quarter to win by forty-one points. Next week the Cats host
the Hawks at the MCG in a repeat of the round one clash. Geelong will
be hoping the 'Hawkiwobbles' otherwise known as the Kennett Curse continues
for an eleventh game.
