AFL 2013 ROUND 18; GEELONG
V ST KILDA; MATCH
PREVIEW By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG CATS V ST KILDA SAINTS JIMMY BARTEL will miss Saturday night's match against St Kilda at Simonds Stadium, among five changes for the Cats. Also missing are Josh Hunt (shin) and Jesse Stringer (knee) through injury while Mark Blicavs has been rested and Jordan Murdoch sent back to the VFL. Returning is Steve Johnson from suspension, Taylor Hunt, Nathan Vardy, Mitch Brown and George Horlin-Smith. The Saints have made two changes. None of the four players involved we'd ever heard of, so we had to Google to find their Christian names. Jarryn Geary and Arryn Sippos come into the side for Trent Dennis-Lane and Jordan Stanley, the latter not even having his own Wikipedia page. Not sure if there's any kind of trophy up for grabs, but make sure you tune in for Finey's Final Siren on SEN 1116 that evening whatever you do.

AFL 2012 ROUND 21 FRIDAY 17 AUGUST 2012 19:50 AEST, ETIHAD STADIUM CATS TAKE TOMAHAWK TO
SAINTS By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG CATS V ST KILDA SAINTS TOM HAWKINS booted six goals last night to all but sink St Kilda's finals hopes. The Cats led all day, jumping to a two goal lead thanks to Taylor Hunt's two opening goals. Throughout the game the Saints, minus skipper Nick Riewoldt, wouldn't quite let the Cats jump away, pegging a goal or two back each time the Cats skipped ahead to a handy lead. The Cats jumped to a five goal lead but had a shocking third term, not scoring a goal with the Saints booting three. Heartbeats raced somewhat with two goals in a minute drawing St Kilda to within one point of the Cats five and a half minutes into the final quarter, but that was all she wrote. Geelong booting seven unanswered goals to runout forty-two point winners. MATCH REPORT CATS TAKE TOMAHAWK TO SAINTS MATCH PREVIEW AFL ROUND 21 2012; GEELONG V ST KILDA GEELONG:
