AFL 2014 ROUND 12; GEELONG V CARLTON;
TEAMS AND MATCH PREVIEW By Ben Jensen GEELONG CATS V CARLTON BLUES GEELONG selectors have resisted the urge to really swing the axe at the selection table following last Thursday's 100 point capitulation to the Swans at the SCG. Just two changes have been made, premiership defenders Tom Lonergan and Corey Enright brought back from injury in place of omitted Jackson Sheringham and Travis Varcoe who is unavailable. The struggling Blues have made two changes of their own, Andrew Walker and Dennis Armfield in for injured David Ellard (calf) and Dylan Buckley who has been dropped.
UMPIRES TBA TIP: Cats by 31 points

AFL ROUND 3, 2013 GEELONG V CARLTON SATURDAY 13 APRIL 2013 19:10 AEST ETIHAD STADIUM CATS BEAT BLUES IN YET ANOTHER HEART
STOPPER By Ben Jensen GEELONG defeated Carlton by 16 points in front of a bumper 43,241 crowd at Etihad Stadium tonight to go three and nil for the season, with the win and luckless Blues the opposite. In fact new coach Michael Malthouse now has four losses from his past six games as coach - THREE of those coming courtesy of the Cats. The win came at a cost however with Travis Varcoe likely to be out for anyone up to 12 weeks if he has to have surgery on an injured shoulder, suffered in the first quarter. The Blues also lost a key player early, Matthew Kreuzer incurring a suspected broken thumb. The match was interrupted in the final quarter due to a streaker who appeared to be naked, holding up play for a minute or so. He wore a blue and white garment that from our perch couldn't distinguish as a Carlton or Geelong scarf. 13 APRIL 2013 CATS BEAT BLUES IN YET ANOTHER HEART STOPPER 11 APRIL 2013 AFL 2013 ROUND 3; GEELONG V CARLTON; MATCH PREVIEW GEELONG: 5.5, 12.6,
