AFL 2009 ROUND 22; GEELONG V FREMANTLE;
MATCH PREVIEW PLUS TV / RADIO BROADCAST DETAILS By Ben Jensen AFL 2009 ROUND 22 GEELONG CATS V FREMANTLE DOCKERS IN A FINAL effort to regain the momentum they lost after the round 14 loss to St Kilda, Geelong host Fremantle at Skilled Stadium this Saturday afternoon in a Fox Sports only game. Interestingly, Geelong has only lost 'away' fixtures this season, and hope to keep that record going against a Dockers side with nothing but pride to play for. Brad Ottens is back, along with skipper Tom Harley and Premiership midfielder James Kelly. Shane Mumford makes way, Mark Blake winning the battle of the ruckmen; second-string defenders David Johnson and Tom Gillies the other two to make way.
Geelong beat Fremantle by nineteen points at Subiaco in round twelve, Shannon Byrnes starring with five goals and Steve Johnson three. YOUR SAY: WILL THE CATS GET OVER THE LINE? UMPIRES: TBA TIP? Cats by 47 points BETTING GUIDE (As At 27/8/2009) (Check OnThePunt for latest odds)* The odds for Hawthorn are expected to narrow closer to the game, but on the Wednesday the Cats were short priced favourites, paying around $1.20 with the Hawks $4 outsiders.

2009, ROUND 12 SUNDAY 21 JUNE 2009, 16:40 AEST, SUBIACO
CATS SCRAPE PAST DOCKERS By Ben Jensen AFL 2009 ROUND 12 FREMANTLE DOCKERS V GEELONG CATS GEELONG rode out their second 20-something point win at Subiaco oval in three weeks yesterday in a game that at one stage looked like being the Cats' first loss in just under nine months. Shannon Byrnes (five goals) was the star for the Cats and Cameron Mooney (none) very nearly the villian, Byrnes' two final term goals coming at crucial times to snuff out Fremantle's gallant challenge.
